Do you have a custom paint job on your scooter, or an interesting story to share?

Send  digital photos and tell us: Who? What? Where? When? How?

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a story that goes with the picture is much more interesting.

Jim Akins says his Chetak is "running great and looking good".

Chrome on black always looks good.  With the whitewalls and split seats a very nice classic look is achieved.

Ronnie Bautista's 03 Chetak has chromed side cowls and chromed front fender.  Zippy tires and a Piaggio nose round out the modifications.

Biotech Pest Control uses a sidecar (that's crawling with ants) attached to their Bajaj Legend to effectively advertise their bug-reduction business.

Bruce Davis rode his Legend on a 2333 mile vacation to Baja Mexico.  From Tijuana, to Cabo San Lucas and back to San Diego, Bruce said his Legend was "comfortable and performed flawlessly".

Custom paint job, custom seat covers, carefully selected jacket, next thing you know, you look like a bumblebee zipping down the road.

Here's Michael Lawless getting his "custom" daughter acquainted with his custom Legend.

Michael says he doing his best to get the next generation involved in scootering.

At 3 months old, Olivia has already made it known that she's ready to ride.

Chris Lundstrom has modified his Chetak in the "Mod" fashion.  Not many things can sneak up behind him with that view of the rear.  Chris, those mirrors look a little like an airfoil.  I wonder if you tilted all of them just right....

"I've had 10,000 miles of fun and great new friends and am looking forward to many years of dependable riding to come.

(this scooter) has been one of the most pleasurable purchases I've ever made!"

Roy Mandabach

Michael Mortimer parked his two-tone Chetak in front of the pet cemetery at the Presidio in San Francisco for this picture.

San Francisco, with its hills, parks and many diverse ethnic enclaves is a great place to explore on a scooter.

Jack Marquis started out flaming his helmet, he liked it so much he decided to do his Cyber Green Legend as well.

I had my engineer friends weld up a custom steel trailer and hitch ball bracket to 5 solid mounting points on the rear of the Legend, and it pulls the nifty little trailer almost effortlessly.    The heavy duty metal construction, powerful engine and real gears instead of the usual slip prone drive belt make this the perfect "Sport Utility" vehicle for my Beachside lifestyle.   Damien Esmond

BMW Saffire Black Metallic paint really sets this custom Bajaj apart from other black scooters. Built by Patrick Brendan O'Dea for Juan Hernandez.

Started life as a 2001 white Chetak. Featuring: Sava Reflex tires, red rims, POC pipe, Corsa saddle, and a chromed Vespa horn cast.

This black and yellow Chetak, owned by Noemi Margaret  has been dubbed "Butterbee"

Mark Denoncourt's '03 Chetak looks very retro indeed.  Love those moon hubcaps.

Len2.jpg (71829 bytes)

Len Im from the left coast presents this very '60's look Chetak.  I flashed back to car hops on roller skates and food trays hanging off the side window when I saw this.

Our dealer in Scottsdale, Arizona, Luci's Joyrides, loves decorating scooters.  Here is their Aladdin's theme.

Tim Ballard, our Portland dealer, gives the checkerboard and chrome treatment to this Chetak, note the absence of the front glove box.

balls of fire.jpg (109137 bytes)

Great Balls of Fire!  Mario, from Eugene Oregon, says he tries to ride every day the weather permits.

RaceReplica2.jpg (165863 bytes)

Barry Gwin, of San Francisco Scooter Centre, was asked by a customer to make their Chetak look like the shop racing scooter... thus the first SFSC Racer Replica.

Cameron Wallace of Houston, TX,  gets lots of compliments on this quietly elegant custom paint job.

Ellen Deming's home-made paint job and retro split seats give this Chetak a distinctly classic look.
